Augustine Cheong

With over 25 years of international experience in corporate finance, maritime operations, and petrochemical infrastructure development. Augustine leads strategic planning, corporate governance, financial structuring, and commercial initiatives across marine and energy operations at Daxin Marine.

Augustine previously held senior leadership positions within a mainboard listed Hong Kong entity. He was instrumental in executing key corporate milestones such as: the reverse takeover and public listing of the company on the HKEx; structuring senior unsecured and convertible bond issues with global underwriters; structuring and execution of various debt instruments, negotiating major deals and acquisitions with Chinese SOEs and international partners; managing the development of FSUs, tanker fleets, shipyards, and downstream infrastructure in China and Southeast Asia.

A Chartered Accountant in Singapore and CPA Australia, Augustine is highly proficient in financial management, project evaluation, legal and commercial negotiations. His hands-on experience spans shipbuilding, maritime logistics, offshore energy solutions, and compliance in cross-border environments. Augustine holds a Master of Commerce (Advanced Finance) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Information Systems) from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Hokkien; and he enjoys playing golf.
